Between Toulouse and the Pyrenees Mountains...

Tournefeuille, where Magelis's office is located, is part of the Toulouse metropolitain area. Toulouse is an ancient city, dating from Roman times. During medieval times, it was an important economic and cultural centre : the troubadour tradition has its origins in this region.

Modern Toulouse is built on the aerospace industry. Airbus Industry has its headquarters here (like Boeing in Seattle), and next time you fly on an Airbus, think of Toulouse!

Water is omnipresent in Toulouse. The city is traversed by a river, the Garonne, and the Canal du Midi, which links the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.    This is the Pont Neuf, the "New Bridge" (it was, once!), one of the main bridges crossing the Garonne River. Toulouse is known as the "Rose City", for the colour of its bricks...

Our region is called the Midi-Pyrenees, it stretches from the Massif Central, a high plateau to the north, down to the Pyrenees Mountains.

This is a blessed land, rolling hills cut by fast-flowing rivers, rich soil harbouring growth both wild and cultivated...

The different

moods

 of spring...

The Garonne is the principle river, it has its source in the Spanish Pyrenees, and flows into the sea through the vineyards of Bordeaux. It flows through a vast plain, fringed with hills which gradually mount up to the crescendo of the mountains...

The hills before the mountains remind us...

of the Shire where Bilbo Baggins the hobbit lived.

Finally you reach the mountains...

wondering what secrets the other side holds.
