The Bir Hakeim Bridge crosses the Seine near
the Eiffel Tower. At its Right Bank end is the apartment
where Marlon Brando and Maria Schneider lived in "Last
Tango in Paris". Halfway across the river is a narrow
island that extends a long distance, parallel to the river
bank. There is a pedestrian way under an avenue of trees.
Stroke the picture vertically to move across the bridge. Rapid
motion transforms the columns into a transparent screen. Stroke
the picture horizontally to bring on the trees. The columns
give way to a leafy avenue. Rapid motion makes them disappear
completely in riotous green.
