The Canal du Midi is a corridor of water
and trees that crosses south-eastern France from the Atlantic
Ocean to the Mediterranean. This picture represents the most
straight forward type of manipulation possible, that of the
replication of reality. In this case, one caresses the picture,
the sun comes out from behind the clouds, and the birds begin
to sing. If the mouse stays in a particular zone, only that
part will be lit up. Wide mouse strokes illuminate the whole
picture.
